How to beat red-eyed enemies in Sekiro? ›

If you eavesdrop on some of the conversations that Sekiro characters have and read item description text, you'll learn that enemies with red eyes are weak to fire.

Red Carp Eyes is a Key Item in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Bring these items to Doujun at the Abandoned Dungeon to progress his quest.

Doujun is a side character and a minor antagonist in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice as well as the overarching antagonist of Sekiro Side Story: Hanbei the Undying. He is one of the quest-giving NPCs in the game. He is also a supporter of Genichiro's cause and the mastermind of the Red Eyes program.

However you won't get the trophy for killing him just yet. Head to the Guardian Ape's Watering hole Sculptor's Idol to find the corpse of the Great Carp, where you'll receive the trophy and find a strange item, the Great White Whisker.

While players can face off with the elderly Isshin Ashina in the Shura ending, that wasn't his deadliest form. Players take on the character at his peak when they encounter Isshin, the Sword Saint after defeating a two-phase Genichiro, Way Of Tomoe.

Snake Eyes Shirafuji is an optional mini-boss in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. She's one of two bosses responsible for guarding the entrances to the Gun Fort and is located on a platform between the Sunken Valley and the Gun Fort Idols.

Ashina Outskirts: Found just after the the Outskirts Wall - Stairway Sculptor's Idol. The first encounter with this boss is not optional. There is a second optional meeting in Ashina Castle after killing the Corrupted Monk and Guardian Ape.

Great White Whisker is a Key Item in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Give to the Feeding Grounds attendant at Fountainhead Palace to obtain Divine Grass and to free him of his duties, completing his sidequest.

You can hit them early on without the ability by holding down R1 for a charge attack. It is still a bit wonky, but it will hit them eventually. They have like 1 second per swimming rotation where they seem to be in a hit able spot, watch them carefully and you will figure it out.

Should I use Precious Bait or Truly Precious Bait? ›

Regardless of which merchant's bait you use, the results are almost identical. The Giant Carp will always die, as well as the opposing merchant of the one whose bait you feed to it. The surviving one will turn into a carp and also take on the inventory of the other, so no matter what you won't lose access to any items.

"Those with Red Eyes are dangerous and filled with rage, and attempting to defeat them in hand-to-hand combat seems unwise," a loading screen tip in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will warn you. "Fire, however, is very effective against them. They are said to fear fire above all else."

Great Colored Carp however is a special boss; it cannot be killed through combat and must be evaded to progress. Feeding Great Colored Carp a Truly Precious Bait (Pot Noble Koremori's or Pot Noble Harunaga's) will kill it.

Ring the bell to the right and a massive carp will swim up to the railing. You are given two options here: Use Precious Bait, or Select Truly Precious Bait. Select the second option and you can choose which of the merchants' bait you wish to feed to the Great Carp.

A round, red lump, found inside the body of red-eyed Kotaro. Consume to gain red-eyes and reduce flinching from enemy attacks, but also prohibits the use of Resurrection. The red mass will not mold nor wither, and though it does no harm, it will likely remain in the stomach even after its potency has worn off.
