The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the series premiere being further pushed to fall 2020, in order to shore-up the network's schedule. On October 30, 2020, Fox cancelled the series after one season. The remaining episodes continued to air at their regular timeslot, before concluding on November 30, 2020.

Other recent series with multiple seasons in the 100% club: The Good Place, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, One Day at a Time, Veep, Fleabag, Jane the Virgin, and Feel Good. Only Murders in the Building season 1 has the most reviews on its perfect 100% score.

Victim impact statements are one of the most important parts of any story but I'm not sure it should be considered the whole story or 5 hours of it. Overall though, this is impactful and definitely worth watching.
