If you’ve been on a keto diet for some time, you’re probably pretty familiar with having eggs for breakfast.
Maybe even a bit sick of them by now.
Or you’re new to the keto diet and wonder what the hell else do people eat for breakfast on this diet besides eggs.
Or you’re in my camp and have a bit of a bumpy relationship with eggs where they’re your favorite, but it’s time to ease up on them for your skin’s sake.
Whatever the case, you’re on the hunt for some keto breakfast recipes and meal ideas that aren’t eggs. I’ve got you.
Plus some quick instructions on for keto meal planning and prep.
How to meal plan and meal prep on keto for intermittent fasting
It’s a simple process that takes a bit of balancing, but once you’ve done it a few times it’ll get easier to know which foods work best together for your needs.
Step 1: Determine what are your macros and caloric needs using a keto calculator.I use https://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/.
Step 2: Plan your meals using an online tool that allows you to easily see your macros. I like using paleotrack.com because it allows you to set macros for keto and know if you’re eating primal. Pick a keto recipe below (or few) and plug in the ingredients. Free guide here.
Step 3: Create your list and shop. If you buy organic, you can save money by shopping at ThriveMarket.com. They offer 25% off and a 30-day free trial membership to start. I personally like using them for my more “fancy” keto needs, but they’ve also got savings on plenty of everyday keto goods.
Step 4: Weigh your meat portions before you cook them for more accuracy on how much protein you’re getting. Measure vegetables and fats. Here are some scales to check out that people are loving:
